Service Guideline on the Approval of Infant Formula Milk Powder Formula Registration

On December 25, 2017, CFDA released the Service Guideline on the Approval of Infant Formula Milk Powder Formula Registration. The implementation date of the Guideline is December 1, 2017.

The contents of the Guideline are mainly from Administration Measures on Infant Formula Milk Powder Formula Registration and its attached documents. One change is that in the application materials, Chinese characters should be no less than Song typeface small four font size (the requirement of the font size used to be no less than Song typeface four font size).

In the Appendix of the Guideline, some common mistakes are listed, please kindly refer to the table below. Enterprises shall pay attention to them and avoid making the same mistakes.

I. the Chinese characters used are not standardized or the name contains letters, graphics, symbols and so on, such as A, +, ®, etc.;

II. the English name is not consistent with the Chinese name;

III. for products applying for registration change or applying for registration continuation, the product name is not same as the name on registration certificate.

Applicant

Domestic applicant

I. the name of the applicant is not consistent with the Business License

II. the organization code of the applicant is not in valid period

III. the unified social credit code of the applicant is not in valid period

IV. the legal representative is not consistent with the Business License

V. the production address filled is not the detailed address of the actual production place; the province indicated in license is not included in the production address

VI. the contact address filled is not the actual contact address

VII. the contact person and his contact method are not the actual information of the person submitting materials for registration

VII. the related information of the products that have been sold in market is not filled.

Foreign applicant

I. The information filled is not consistent with the submitted qualification certificates.

II. As for the domestic declaration agency, the information filled is not consistent with its Business License.
